Configuring the Explorer Start-up Directory

I personally find it annoying that the Windows Explorer initially comes up in the Documents and Settings folder (on my XP machine, at least), which is probably close to the last place on the machine that I want to be exploring.
But it's possible to specify the start-up directory, using command-line options, as in:
explorer /e,/root,c:\project
